Notre Dame, Saint Mary's College, Holy Cross College Volunteers
Best Buddies
Best Buddies is an international organization that promotes 1:1 friendships between college students and people with intellectual disabilities. The local chapter at Notre Dame matches Saint Mary's College, Holy Cross College, and Notre Dame students with LOGAN clients. Visit the national Best Buddies website.
Super Sibs
The Super Sibs Club meets twice a month for group activities and Sib Chats. Weekly, students contact their sib by phone or email. For membership, contact Nichole Maguire or (574) 289-4831 ext. 1043.
ND/SMC/HCC Recreation Club
Since the 1970's, the Recreation Club has sponsored fun social events for LOGAN clients.
Community Based Learning
In a Community-Based Learning (CBL) course at the University of Notre Dame, students volunteer at a local community organization in addition to completing their usual coursework. Community-Based Learning placement gives students opportunities to apply their talents, skills, and interests to help fulfill specific needs at the organization.
In the classroom, students' personal experiences form a central source of analysis alongside their course readings, labs, or problem sets. Learn more about connecting to LOGAN through CBL or email Shelly Zabukovic, Community-Based Learning Coordinator at LOGAN, for more information.
L'Arche Seminar
Each year, LOGAN and the Center for Social Concerns at the University of Notre Dame offer a week long spring break experience to a L'Arche community. Students gain experience by living in community with people with disabilities. Visit the L'Arche USA website.
Ticket Donations
Donate your Notre Dame sports tickets to LOGAN Center. If you are not able to use your student or General Admission ticket for a home game, allow a LOGAN participant to use your ticket and enjoy the game.
